About Predica Diagnostics BV
Predica Diagnostics B.V is a spinoff company from Radboud University Medical Center, active in the field of diagnostics, prognostics and prediction of treatment response in oncology. Predica Diagnostics aims to bring its ciRNAseq technology to patients in 1 to 2 years with a first focus on developing the CervicaDX test. This test allows non-invasive detection of cervical abnormalities in women who are at risk of developing cervical cancer, with unprecedented specificity. Other diagnostic tests in development are focusing on early diagnosis, prognosis prediction and produce a list of potentially successful precision medicines, thus aiding in development of personalized treatment plans for cancer patients.
Your role
As a Research Technician you will be responsible for development and research projects using cutting-edge technology, in particular related to next generation targeted RNA sequencing (ciRNAseq). Projects include optimization, verification and validation of ciRNAseq procedures and development of novel applications to solve medical needs. Projects will be centered around development, design and validation of novel assays out with the aim to bring these to commercial level.
Together with the Predica team, the Research Technician will ensure that the product/technology development activities meet the business and regulatory needs of Predica Diagnostics.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Collecting and processing of samples for nucleic acid analysis.
Generation and processing of next generation sequencing libraries.
Maintain orderly lab spaces and lab equipment.
Management of inventory.
Work in compliance with all appropriate laboratory, regulatory and safety requirements.
Provide support to senior staff as needed.
Document and report project results.
Who you are
HLO or Master’s degree in the field of Life Science
Team player with can-do mentality and a strong sense of responsibility
Extensive hands-on experience in molecular/cellular biology techniques
Experience with diagnostic development in a business environment is a plus
Background knowledge in biostatistical analysis
Strong verbal and written English skills
Used to work in an accurate and structured manner according to standard procedures
Excellent planning and organization skills
Excellent communication skills
